The Israelites according to biblical prophecies have been scattered globally as prophesied in Deut 4:27 And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. One of the least spoken about atrocities is the Israelites and the Indian ocean Slave trade in which a remnant of the Israelites would live in India ( Elam) to this day as prophesied in Isiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

The Israelites migrated to India through the Indus region valley multiple times throughout the various Captivities.

“That certain Malabar Jews claimed that their ancestry reached India in 69 A.D, seventeen years after Thomas did.”

“One tradition among Cochin Jews is that ten thousand Jews came to India after the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus.”

Luke 21:

v20-  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

v21- Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into.

v22- For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

“The Black Jew settlement at Craganore had formerly a population of eighty thousand, but had then shrunk to four thousand. They claimed to date from Nebuchadrezzar’s time.

Pg.343

“They claimed that a part of the tribe of Manasseh was placed by Nebuchadrezzar in the Eastern part of his domain, and that two hundred thousand Jews later travelled thence to India, spending three years in the migration.”

“The Dutch Admiral, John Splinter Stavorinus, in his Voyages in the East indies, 1774-78, has the same tradition, a little more accurately stated. Captives who escaped from Shalmaneser spent three years in reaching India: which again means that some Sargonid colonist in the cities of the Medes came with the Persians into India.

“ Thurston finds another Black Jew tradition that their ancestors were not of the original Cranganore colony and were driven out of Palestine thirteen years before the destruction of Solomon’s temple.

“ Certain Cochin Jews, not counting the Persians as oppressors, claimed that their ancestors came under Persian protection at the time of the Esther episode, and that they had converted many Hindus long before any white Jew arrived.

Acts 2:

v5- And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

v6- Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

v7- And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

v8- And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

v9- Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites ( India), and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

The diaspora caused many of the Jews to be spread throughout the different countries in which the Apostles would later travel to teaching the Gospel of Christ. Apostle Thomas would later travel to India (Elam) and teach the Israelites and set up Synagogues.

Dr. Buchanan seems to have regarded the Black Jews as part of the ten tribes. Those to whom the apostle Thomas preached must have been settled there before his arrival, which probably was many years before the destruction of Jerusalem, A.D 70.

Becoming Jewish by Tudor Parfitt pg.39

“ The community of Bene Ephraim was established in the late 1980’s in the village of Kothareddypalem of Guntur District of coastal Andhra Pradesh by a group of Christianised Madiga Dalits ( untouchables)who, like the Bene Menashe, declared that they belonged to the Lost Tribes of Israel.”

“In 2002 Shmuel Yacobi published a book entitled The Cultural Hermenuetics, offering an account of the history of the community, which may be summarized as follows. The Bene Ephraim descended from the tribes of Israel, who in 722 BCE were exiled from the ancient kingdom of Israel by the Assyrians. After their sojourn in Persian, they moved to the Northern Part of the subcontinent, which was then populated by Dravidian groups. In the seventh century BCE, the subcontinent was conquered by the “Aryans”, who established the caste system and regulated the Dravidians and the Bene Ephraim to the positions of Shudras and the untouchables respectively. Both groups were later moved to the south of India, where they now reside. The current state of affairs in the community is explained as an unfortunate result of the further advance of “Aryan Rule”, under which the Bene Ephraim lost their status and political significance, were reduced to poverty and, left with very few means of maintaining their tradition, indeed almost forgot it.”

v11- In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

v12- I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

v13- The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

General History of Africa: V Africa from the Sixteenth to the Eighteenth Century by B.A Ogot Pg.67

“ Not far from Gujarat is Janjira Island which , in ancient times, was part of the prosperous commercial activity of North- Western India, including what is today Bombay, and the Konkan Coast. If local traditions are to be believed, the siddis of Janjira descended from Africans who arrived in Gujarat in 1489.

“These were black Jews, descendants of African Slaves, who had left Cochin and Kerala in Southern India, to settle on that coast.

The Siddis, Habshis and Kaffirs were shipped by Cargo Slave Ships from these African countries to locations in Indian states of Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Hyderabad and and Makran and Karachi in Pakistan.

Deuteronomy 28:
